Our Story

Northern Interests is a national organisation involved with remote area stores, often referred to as “Roadhouses”.  It began with the purchase of the first business in 1998 and has now grown to 7 sites located in SA and NT. We employ approximately 130 staff, many of them living on site in our staff accommodation.

Our focus is to provide a wide variety of services and products to those living and travelling in remote areas which we refer to as “servicing the outback community” and to provide an excellent working environment for our staff.  We also like to offer our support to our local communities and are involved in many of the local activities and groups through sponsorship.  We are the proud sponsors of the Elliott Football Team, Oodnadatta Netball Team, Marla Gymkhana, Olympic Dam Sporting Club, Glendambo Gymkhana, Innamincka Races and numerous other events including support to the Royal Flying Doctors.
